- Actually Playphone clearly states the wireless number and code are required for subscription. It is regretful if you failed to fully read and understand the process prior to entering your phone number.
We would be happy to receive feedback if you would like to effect some positive change rather than misrepresent your failure to be thorough.
Posted 4 months agoReport - This company is very deceptive in their subscription. In fact, most of their customer support is geared around fileding complaints from people who were duped into subscribing. The main message on their support line is how to request a refund.
Posted 3 months agoReport - Tried for 5 months to get this off my daugters phone and still do not know how it got there. Playphone says they make you enter in a passcode to accept the offer. My daughter does not even have text messaging on her phone so I am not sure how that happens. They refused my request for a refund for the 3 months I have been asking them to cancel the service and they denied that as well. Next step is BBB and FCC and attorney general and who ever else I can get involved.
Posted 3 months agoReport - I just got caught on this one too. I put in my cell phone thinking I would get the IQ score and I did NOT agree to the terms and conditions box and just closed the web page and I still got a text message from them with a PIN. I have emailed a cancellation and explained the situation and said I did not authorize anything so don't bill me. We'll see if they are honest or not and I will repost.
