[979] Personal - Washington Mutual @ 19th & Yale. Houston, TX charged me $25 to close a matured IRA CD.,

Washington Mutual charged me $25 to close my matured IRA CD opened in 2005. The only type account I've ever had with WaMu. I am 70 1/2 and have to start taking withdrawals from my IRAs. I asked WaMu why I was charged this and they told me that the computer did it . That there was nothing they could do ..except print me out an explanation. They gave me this paper from ... https://wamuhelp.wamu.net/knowbase/root/public that states.." Termination Fee...Assessed when closing the last account in the plan. As a current customer service, we do not assess the fee if customer has other deposit accounts with Washington Mutual; this practice may change at any time and is, therefore, not to be discussed in advance with the customer."
WaMu never told me about a termination fee. They scammed me for $25. How many other senior citizens has WaMu taken advantage of...Please get the word out ...

I filed a complaint with the Texas Dept. of Banking....but was told that Washington Mutual is a Federal Bank to send my complaint to "Office of Thrift Supervision. P.O. Box 619027, Dallas, TX 75261-9027 .... I have done so.
