I ordered the majic jack phone jack, with the assurance from their advertisement that I would not be charged for thirty days, well that was not the case. I was charged approximately two weeks after placing the order, and I had not received the merchandise yet, because it was lost in the mail to me.Posted 2 months ago

- MagicJack.com doesn't even have a telephone number posted on their website, magicjack.com! - If that isn't bad enough, how about going to magicjack.com and trying to get a hold of a customer service rep. - MagicJack has been over rated by the press. Truth is, they make all kinds of claims which they don't stand behind. One of which is the 30 day trial period. That is a lie as I have also tried magic jack and noticed that I was charged within 2 days from the day I ordered magicjack. I also noticed that the had a page called, postsell.asp which offered 'Free International Calling' - this too was a lie. I copied all of this material and look forward to compiling a list of others who have been ripped off by magicjack.com and submitting the information to the FTC through local congress rep.

I registered on the magicjack forum sometime in June or July to see if this USB gizmo for VOIP free phone calls was any good. Granted it is still beta but in the past few weeks, they have done some very disturbing things.
1. They removed links on the home page http://www.magicjack.com/site/index.html to find the forum and chat to get help.
2. They then took down the chat and instead of providing support via chat, they have now changed it to one-on-one chat SALES not support.

3. Yesterday they locked down the forum, which is fine. New buyers were having a hard time finding it because the link was either non-existent or buried.
4. Today, they've wiped all the posts http://forum.magicjack.com/forum/
from the past 8 months where volunteers actually helped people get the device they purchased working.
I may be way off base but when you start erasing the existence of problems, it appears that you don't want new purchasers to know that you might bot be able to plug in the device and start making phone calls.
During my several months reading and posting at the MJ forum, I've noticed that the service tends to go down weekends. In other words, you can't make phone calls nor receive phone calls.
Servers go down and there is no place anywhere that we've been able to find that indicates the server is down or the server will be going down for maintenance.
I've registered today at broadband reports and have added my post to the list of people very upset with the way this company is handling things. I intend to post at several forums to warn people to avoid the product. I hope google picks up some of the posts so people considering buying the gadget will have second and third thoughts.

I ordered the MagicJack only after reading carefully all the literature on their site and it all states 100% Satisfaction guarantee or money back… NO CHARGES UNTIL 30 DAYS AFTER YOU ORDER (this was the scary part). So because of the 30 day trail period which states I would not get charged on my credit card until 30 day I went ahead and ordered it. The VERY NEXT DAY I had charges on my bank account from them, which caused my checking account to be overdrawn! And that cost me $32 big ones…. They said they would not charge my account for 30 days! I tried contacting them but all I could find was their chat help on their site which NO ONE COULD CONNECT ME TO A SUPERVISOR nor give me a name nor address of the company, basically they told me screw you! I hope people of higher powers such as the FCC will take down their site and adverting spots. What a nitemare!
Shame on MAGICJACK and it’s owners!!!!! They should be put in jail for credit card fraud!

Posted 1 month agoReport - If anyone thinks of ordering magic jack, they should go to the website first and try and look for a customer service number. Or, try their online customer service chat. MagicJack or any business for that matter, is only as good as the customer service that it provides after the sale. MagicJack sucks!
