Sent to a friend[8277] CHASE CARDMEMBER SERVICES - CHASE BANK MISLEADING RUNAROUND
ORIGINALLY A COUNTRYWIDE CREDIT CARD - THAT I ONLY USED ONCE...WAS SOLD TO OR SOMEHOW ENDED UP WITH CHASE BEING THE HOLDER. I HAD INCLUDED THE COUNTRYWIDE CARD IN A MODIFICATION PACKAGE THAT A LAW FIRM WAS HANDLING FOR ME. WHEN CHASE STARTED CALLING - SPOKE TO A REP AND EXPLAINED MY HARDSHIP AND THAT I WOULD NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS CARDS BALANCE AND APR. SENT THEM LETTER OF HARDSHIP - DOCUMENTATION. ONLY CONTACT WAS TO PAY BOTH BY MAIL AND THE PHONE CALLS BECAME RELENTLESS.I FINALLY DECIDED TO CALL AND SETTLE THE DEBT WITH AN OFFER TO SETTLE - AFTER LOSING MY ORIGINAL CALL - I WAS TRANSFERED TO 4 PEOPLE BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET TO A REP WHO SAID THAT HE COULD PRESENT MY OFFER TO THE BANK FOR HALF OF WHAT I OWED - MINUTES LATER HIS SUPERVISOR CAME ON THE PHONE AND TOLD ME I DID NOT QUALIFY. SHE COULD NOT GIVE ME A REASON. ASKED HER A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT WAYS BUT SHE DID NOT HAVE AN ANSWER. MIND YOU THE AMOUNT WAS ONLY 2700..THEY COU;D NOT TAKE A SETTLEMENT - THEY WANTED IT ALL - AFTER THAT CALL THEY HAVE RESUMED THEIR CALLS TO COLLECT.
DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO ANY ONE OUT THERE?
