Sent to a friend[7665] Direct TV - Abusive Direct TV practice
It could be funny, if it wouldn't be so sad. I am in Florida and on the 20th floor.... the dish is attached by few synthetic strings... I wonder, with our famous weather: how strong of the winds this kind of installation can take? Is there any codes for them?
Now, I am waisting my time calling them every day with no resolution. The regular script reading takes place each time:
"WE apologies for what happening......I understand it's a bad situation..... BUT the technician is not coming.... "
When I placed an order, tech came in next day! AND NOW when they have me liable for $480.00 for early cancellation, the tech can only come in a week!
About liabilities: no one told me upfront about any 24 months and $ 480.00 it. When thech was leaving my home after tying the dish with ropes to the unattached tripod, I asked him if I need to sign anything. He said "no". Now they saying this is a valid contract and I will pay $ 480.00.
I only had it working for 3 days!

- Ordered direct tv for one year, half way through I lost my contractual local channels. They even sent a tech out to confirm the situation, and they still want me to pay for the service which they are not providing. They also said it was a two year contract and that I would have to pay some extraordinary fee if I disconnected now. Very poor company and very bad customer service.
Posted 1 year agoReport - I hear you... Three weeks later I have no signal, no one calls me, no one will be, I guess. One thing is good: my credit is no good any ways. Ha-ha-ha I am not going to pay a dime!
Posted 1 year agoReport - well, maybe if you find someone on craigslist to fix it for 40 bucks for you. search for dishnet or dish installers
