You need to contact your Dept of Motor Vehicles and ask for title information and history. My form was 5027A (may be same for your state.) Then check your insurances. Our mortgage payment included the home owners. They might be making you pay for life insurance on youself...so they can collect that as well.
REMEMBER--OAKWOOD HOMES-&-OAKWOOD ACCEPTANCE WENT BANKRUPT IN APRIL OF 2004.
ASK for copies of your loan agreement, loan contract, insurance policy. You have a right to them and chances are they will only send you parts of each request.....MAKE COPIES OF ALL THAT YOU RECEIVE AS YOU HAVE RECEIVED IT....and contact Mr.David Breen lawyer for class action suit. You can find his number in the anywho.com at no expense.
Contact berkshire@berkshirehathaway.com. Let him know what has happened to you with these companies. Mr. Warren E Buffett has his company at the bottom of Clayton Homes. I saw an interview on CNBC with Mr. Buffet and he would NOT approve with how all of you folks have been treated....according to his interview, he believes in HONEST ETHICS.....what I feel is missing is the fact that he invests in companies WITHOUT hands on. In other words, he uses 'hands off policy'. This allows for folks like the companies above to run their companies and he does not interfere. It's a big mistake not to check on companies running on one's 'shirt tail'. They just have to accomplish his 'goal list' each year....according to him in his interview. I was really refreshed once I heard him on CNBC. I saw it at 7:00 AM THANKSGIVING DAY. He is the gent that has joined Bill Gates in Charity work.
Sorry this is long, but wanted to give you all things you need to do..if you had not done it already. These people sell repos underhandedly and they have threatened to sell ours by 11-30-06. Please pray about this. I wrote to Mr. Buffett myself.

Posted 1 month agoReport - One good thing about interest rates falling, I was able to switch from Vanderbuilt mortgage to a different bank. Vanderbuilt mortgage ripped me off when I was buying through oakwood homes. I put a down payment on the home - then when it come time to move into the home, My interest rate at Vanderbuilt mortgage had went up 2 percent!
