Sent to a friend WAMU mortgageI have had WAMU mortgage for over 2 years. I have had nothing but problems with them. When I send in payments, most of the time, they don't post them until after the due date. Giving me a $80.00 late fee.
I send my payment in two weekds before the due date. They also, can't locate my last payment. In the meantime they are saying I owe up to $800.00 in late fees. But they aren't willing to give me an itemized list of what those include. I have called and spoke to various people.
Which most of the time were rude. Nobody wants to help. I've asked to talk to a supervisor and they have either "stepped away" or went home for the day. When asked for peoples last name, I've been told, I didn't need it. Last year WAMU didn't pay my property taxes and I was charged a late fee for it. That brought my escrow to a negative amount. They added that onto my payment which brought my payment up $300.00 because of their mistake. I had just went through modification and got my payment down. So I was back to square one with a huge payment. They had told me they would spread my negative balance escrow out 48 months.
A year later, this still hasn't happened. I have folders and folders of letters I've sent, faxes I've tried to send. They don't give you a working fax number. WAMU makes promises and never follows through. My credit is ruined because of the marks they have falsefully put on my credit. I've asked for my PMI to be taken off, for my escrow to be spread out for 48 months. None of these phone calls or letters were answered.
Bottem line.......
This company should be closed down.
