Sent to a friend[4207] Ebay Seller - GREAT DEAL OR GREAT HEADACHE?
I purchased an expensive 18c bronze and ceramic vase for a real STEAL that was worth $100's and I was either going to keep my lucky find or consider flipping it for a tidy profit. It was over 3 weeks late in shipping and I was emailing him as to the delay. Unfortunately, the seller was a total idiot and only slapped on a single layer of bubble wrap to the main vase, used a delapitated box and left the ceramic pedestal completely exposed....and you guess it, the base was in multiple pieces. I then contacted him via email with photos and he told me "this was a punishment to me from God as I kept bothering him with my incessant emails about the delay. He then continued to let me know that most people he's met are all jerks and he is sick of people like me. He ended by saying: he will soon be listing many more beautiful items and that "I" am not welcome to bid on any of them! (BTW: he did refund my money after I filed a PayPal complaint)Posted 1 year ago

Posted 1 year agoReport - Well I hate to list someone directly, but his ebay name was santafe97. He was a real nut job. The listing photo was sideways (should've been a clue) and after I paid thru paypal, it was marked as "unclaimed" ??? as he didn't know how to retrieve the funds. The listing stated shipping as $10, then he asked me for $18 to ship. It took 18 days to solve the Paypal problem and then with the increased shipping along with lots of red flags, I decided to let go the sale. He begged me to continue with the sale. As, deep down I really, really wanted the piece, I got back on board. Then after waiting over 3 weeks....he sent me an incorrect tracking that said my item was delivered to Tennesee! When I told him I live in a different state and still haven't got my vase....and he needs to solve that...he emailed back that was another item and not mine that when to TN. It then arrived in pieces and his response to HIS blatent lack of packing skills was a CLASSIC! It is my most memorable Ebay transaction! Sad.....but way too funny!
Oh...BTW....he has NOT done any sales since. I have checked!!!
Posted 1 year agoReport - Checking on his feedback "LEFT for others" he seems to have conflict issues. Glad he's not doing any more selling!
