Sent to a friend[15535] Purebred Breeders LLC - Sold Defective Puppy
Puppy sold 2/14 & shipped 2/17/2010. Puppy had an undisclosed surgery prior to shipping. Also, Puppy has multiple genetic defects as diagnosed by multiple vets. Purebred breeders had me obtain x-rays & vet reports proving genetic defects at my expense. After they acknowleged receiving these items, they continue to stonewall & now, 6/7/2010, they offered me a 45% discount on a new puppy from their site but no refund or replacement for this genetic nightmare they sold and guaranteed to me. This dog will have to be put down at my expense. No one should do business with this outfit!Posted 3 years ago

Posted 2 years agoReport - Sorry, you aren't the only one. The internet is filled with complaints against this broker. It's a puppy mill broker. I'd NEVER buy a dog online, ever. This company just wants money, doesn't care about where the dog goes, that's a HUGE give away.

Posted 2 years agoReport - I ordered a puppy from Purebred Breeders thinking they were a reputable company. They sent me a puppy that is blind in one eye. It was very clear to me that there was something wrong with her eye when she arrived. I took her to a specialist to check her over & she told me she has no vision in one eye. I have to take her back for vet visits every 4 months to ensure her good eye is ok. These visits cost $40 per visit. It's not the money as much as I think they knowingly sent a half-blind puppy to a family for a considerable amount of money, knowing the family would bond with the dog. I had hoped for financial compensation to help defray the costs of these exams at the very least but they will not do so. The guarantee is worthless.
Posted 2 years agoReport - I just connected with Purebred Breeders LLC. I was interested in a puppy, was told available, would be flown from Oklahoma. I said I had never bought a puppy unseen-what if I didn't like it? Pretty much told-well your stuck with it. I then went on line found this blog and looked at BBB-52 complaints. I emailed back-NO THANKS- and was told that all those complaints were "disgruntled breeders". So good luck if you buy from them.
Posted 2 years agoReport - I am an employee of this company and can no longer stay quite. They directly and knowingly deal with PUPPY MILLS!!!!! they sell sick dogs and then try to cover their end with lies. If you have purchased a puppy and were told that the puppy had a "heart murmur" most likely the dog had some other health issue or the breeder refused to sell the dog. If your flight was canceled or changed, the airlines lost the dog or the dog got sick and they have to stall for time.
We are not only allowed to lie, but instructed to. We are told not to disclose certain medical issues until the dog is about to ship to avoid cancelations. the "strict screening process" that the put the breeders through is a series of 10-15 questions. So be warned, PUREBRED BREEDERS USES PUPPY MILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted 2 years agoReport - thet are definately a scam, i called them after a puppy i recieved gave my son a parasite, i believe they have a telemarketing room because they kept sending me from person to person after I was so upset over this matter. And one girl tried to sell me another puppy! These people are sick individuals, I looked the company up it is in Cooper City Florida which when I did a mapquest its a suburb south west of Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
Posted 2 years agoReport - Purebred Breeders is a SCAM. I've read the reviews on here and can barely believe that we're even talking about the same company. We found our new Black Labrador puppy (we have 2 already) through one of their websites (www.northcarolinalabradorbreeders.com). First let me say that we paid nearly $1600 for this dog, only to contact the ACTUAL breeder and find out that that price she sold the puppy for was $650, basically meaning that we paid Purebred Breeders a $1000 finders fee. They also told us that the puppy was coming from Pennsylvania and charged a $300 shipping fee, when in reality the breeder was literally two counties over from my home in North Carolina. (This money has since been refunded, but only because we caught them in a blatant lie.) Their contract and 'lifetime guarantee' is filled with so many loopholes I can't believe that there isn't a law to make it illegal. I won't bore you with the details but basically what it comes down to is you have to use THEIR food and THEIR vitamin supplements and if and ONLY if your puppy has a congenital/hereditary defects then they will REPLACE your puppy. How could anyone REPLACE a dog?! My dog has had his own place in my heart since the moment he was placed into my hands. And a further condition of their contract is that you send the dog with the defect back. This is honestly the most horrible thing I've ever heard. No one on this earth could convince that when the dog is sent back it's not either put down or thrown to rot in some adoption place.
Next, we found out today that the puppy we found through them has a hereditary defect on his hock (ankle) that is the reason he's been limping for the past few months. It is clearly stated in the terms and conditions of the contract that THEY wrote that they research all the breeders and lines featured on their sites to prevent exactly this.
We've been phoning them repeatedly since September when all their shortcomings started coming to light and have been met with snide remarks and apathy not only towards our complaints, but also towards the well being of the dog in general.
I post this in the hopes that no one will ever use this site. What should have been one of the most memorable and heart-warming experiences in my life, my first dog, has been irreversibly tainted by this money-hungry BROKER. They care nothing about the dogs they handle and trade like cheap cargo. To this company these living, breathing, but most of all LOVING creatures are nothing but a commodity. The people who are looking for a companion, a dog to love, are nothing but an easy target. They use our love for dogs to swindle and scam us out of money.
Please, I beg you, do not refer this company to anyone. I beg you, please look past the money and see that this company is nothing but a greedy, money-grubbing scam. I almost break down into tears every time I see Magnus limp. Please don't allow these people to keep sending dogs, that through their negligence, will have a diminished quality of life.
I would like to add that Magnus came from a breeder who had never bred before. I have verified this and hold her to no fault. Also, I have read other reviews about this company and firmly believe that they use puppy mills.

Posted 2 years agoReport - Yes, this company gets all the dogs from puppymills. I am a dog breeder of Pomeranians and I despise these sites and wish that all of you would get together and have these heartless brokers put out of business.
All you can do now is to share the information with others - NEVER ORDER A DOG FROM THE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!! The AKC has tons of information about buying a puppy, unfortunately they also allow these puppy mills or Commercial Kennels to register the dogs with little or no oversight!!! There is so much more to learn about before buying a dog! Stop others from having the same heartbreak!!! NO MORE INTERNET DOGS.

Purebred Breeders has been investigated by the United States Human Society and a lawsuit has been filed against them in November of 2011 for selling puppy mill dogs and deceptive marketing practices.

I purchased a Pomeranian puppy from Purbreed Breeders after reviewing the claims made on their website concerning the good health of the puppies they sell and the reputable, responsible nature of the breeders they associate with. Within a year of purchase the puppy was diagnosed with bilateral luxating patellas, (bad knees) which will cost over $2,200 to correct surgically. This condition is common in dogs raised in puppy mills where little attention is paid to the passing on of genetic conditions, with the focus being only on producing more puppies to increase the bottom line.
In my research I found this lawsuit, have joined and you can too… Take action now to stop the puppy mills!
