- I think it is supposed to be based on weight. I can't imagine any ring only getting 5.12..... gee, it sounds like you were ripped off. Have you contacted the company and requested your ring back?
Posted 1 year agoReport - I sent my gold off july 16 and haven't received anything in mail yet. I called and a lady gave me a fax number aug 9. She told me they havent received my gold in the mail. Who else can i talk too.

Posted 1 year agoReport - Hello, felicia_leavell@yahoo.com! - Let us know when you find out something....
Posted 1 year agoReport - Folks, why in the world are you mailing valuable items to complete strangers and to top it off without being paid first????
Posted 1 year agoReport - I sent 2 gold rings and never got anything back. And
I sent those 2 items because of sites like these that
vote and give opinions and said that site was safe.
Posted 1 year agoReport - I think that a lot of those opinion sites give fake opinions. Some of which were paid for by the company and some companies have their employees to go and post bogus opinions - I don't know that it's true but it appears to be because I have noticed a lot of sites which have good opinions aren't worth a crap. Look for Cash4gold, there are tons of complaints about that company post on the internet. Despite what opinion sites have posted about cash4gold, I wouldn't recommend cash4gold to anyone.
Posted 1 year agoReport - Cash4Gold is a ripoff I Agree. They are very misleading! I Had my items appraised before sending them in. You are led to believe you would get more by cutting out the so called middleman. My items were worth 125.00 and cash4gold sent me a check after 2 weeks for only 26.00! And when I called to say I wanted my items back, they tried to offer me more money, Up to 80.00. After still refusing their offer, I sent the check back and didint receive my items for 2 weeks! And on top of that, they were damaged! A gold Lucien Piccard Watch Came back with a broken Crystal, a Missing minute Hand, & The leather strap was cut in two! And Another watch was scratched on the back! So I Make another phone call to complain & was offered 10 dollars for the damage to keep me from opening an insurance claim. I refused and the offer went up to 20! It took me another 1/2 hour of arguing with them just to get the offer to 25.00. I know I shouldnt have but i took it just to get it over and done with. Still waiting on this check, will probably be another 2 weeks! One would be better off just going to their neighborhood jeweler and selling their items to them as scrap! These guys a praying on people who don't know the value of their items! They are playing a hit or miss game. If someone complains fine, if not, they made out! Forget Cash4Gold or any other similar kind of company.
It's a waste of your time! Always Know the True value of your items by getting 2 or more appraisels from Reputable Appraisers BEFORE you decide to sell them to anyone! At least you'll know for sure that you got a fair market price for your stuff! And remember the old saying, if it's to good to be true, it probably isn't!
Posted 1 year agoReport - Cash4Gold is a ripoff. They figure you need the money; can't afford a lawyer and only pay 10 to 20% of the value. Complain and they only wait you out to forget about it.
Posted 1 year agoReport - They pray on the old, the ignorant and the weak. Someone should turn them in to the Atty General of FL or their own state. This is mail fraud. Using the US mail to defraud people is wrong. They think everyone is stupid. Stand up to their leader, Jeff Aronson; He is weak and just a fat slob from Brookyln who wants to ripoff everyone who is stupid enough to believe his lies.
Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted 1 year agoReport - I wish I did some research on the web before I sent my jewerly to Cash4Gold. I mailed out my jewerly months ago after 2 weeks they tell me that they haven't received my package and that I would have to file an insurance claim (which can take up to 30 days). Thank goodness I took pictures of my jewerly before I sent it to them. As per their request, I sent them a detailed list of jewerly that was sent and for my own purposes, also sent them copies of the pictures via email. I receive a response back from them that they received my information but that I would have to have it notarized. I went to my lawyer's office (he happens to be a notary) and had it notorized for $9. Now it is in their insurance claims department...will keep you posted!!
Posted 1 year agoReport - Looking forward to hearing the outcome to that... At least you took pictures before you sent. Did you send it certified? - I am just wondering if cash4gold will try and say that it was only worth a certain amount and settle for a certain amount and keep melt down your jewerly? - Its doubtful that you'll ever see your gold again. Hope your not another victim of cash4gold... It appears that there is a lot of victims of cash4gold out there. gee
Posted 1 year agoReport - cash4gold is a scam! - Everyone should be careful of that place. It seems that anytime the economy is down there is a new more improved way to take a person's money and make it look legit. Bottom line - Stay away from cash4gold!
Posted 1 year agoReport - They prey on the uneducated, and if you read the poor grammar and poor spelling in most of the complaints you will see that it works.
How stupid does one have to be to send off gold to some place who promises to pay for it? Send me your car and sign over the title- I promise I'll pay good money for it. Suckers.
Posted 1 year agoReport - start a fund to hire a hitman on the owner of the company, have him killed and then get on with ur lives and learn from ur mistakes. (mistakes can include the killing of him sicne u will probably end up in jail ^_^)
Posted 1 year agoReport - You can google 'spot price gold' anytime. Gold now is $809/ounce. A jeweler will tell you up front that they pay (for example) 10% below spot or whatever.
These gold places usually won't tell you, but they seem to pay about 90% below spot.
Go to a jeweler with your junk (that they will probably also send to be melted/refined) and you'll be happier: true value of your junk gold or you get to keep it (never leaves your sight).
Posted 1 year agoReport - Cash4gold IS a SCAM the insurance is good up to $100.00, no more, no matter how much you send in. If they especially like it, they will claim they did not receive it, and give something less than $100.00 for it. And you HAVE to TAKE it. Please don't be stupid, DO NOT respond to to ANY ad you see or hear on TV or Radio with the 800 numbers, they are ALL, I repeat, ALL SCAMS.
Posted 1 year agoReport - Ed Magedson, owner of Rip-off Report.com, is selling us (consumers) out by allowing advertising by cash4gold and John beck's Free & Clear, claiming they will treat customers better in the future. I, for one, will not trust either company, in spite of the praises by Rip-Off Report. The weight loss products and health products are SCAMS, also. They get your credit card and just keep charging your account.
Posted 1 year agoReport - Yes Cash4Gold is the biggest rip off and a big SCAM !!! I sent my jewelry to Cash4Gold and they gave me a check for $20.00 I gave them a call and told them to send my jewelry back and they said I had to send them the check back . So I did and nothing for weeks . I called them back and said I have pictures and copy everything I sent them , so they said I can call back with in a few days and they would give me a tracking number . Thank God that I got my jewelry back... it tool weeks ..I will pray for you all that you get your jewelry back and I just don't know why it is on TV Cash4Gold when it's a BIG RIP OFF !!!!
Posted 1 year agoReport - DO NOT trust any commercial you see or hear on TV or Radio. I BEG of you, Don't respond to any of the 800 number commercials. Remember, Just because you see it on TV or radio, doesn't mean it HAS to be on the level. TV & Radio stations will accept ANY commercial. They are just as hard up for money as anyone else, As long as they get their money, they don't care if it is a scam or not. Think about it.
Posted 1 year agoReport - These company must be stopped!!
Posted 1 year agoReport - It is so sad that people such as this individual continue to fall for these scams without attempting even the slightest amount of pre-purchase investigation.
With the amount of information on consumer boards such as this and other bona fide sources, it is hard to imagine that many potential customers fail to take advantage of the wealth of assitance available to them before they fall headlong into the trap that cable advertisers such as Cash4Gold set.
Yet, when they suddenly discover that they've been scammed, they are quick to find this or another board to post their complaint and relate their tale of woe.
It's very problematic to express any sympathy for these types. But for a lack of common sense, basic intelligence and a few clicks on the keyboard so much aggravation and financial loss would have been averted.
Posted 1 year agoReport - I noticed that the RipoffReport site has advertisements for Cash4Gold on their site. And everyone thought that RipoffReport was an honest site. If they would take money from Cash4Gold and profit from Cash4Gold then that says alot about the sites reputation!!~
Posted 11 months agoReport - I would like an article to be posted pertaining to the refinery Cash 4 Gold, located in Pompano Beach, Fl. I am a former employee, who would like to alert/warn the public on the scamming process involved with this company. There are many of us who would like to vouch on behalf of this fast growing scam. We would like to get the word out to everyone on this step by step scam which involves so many people in this country and their valuables.
Below I have attached the full details on the scam involving this company. We know this first hand, because this is how we were trained. Please take note of this information and do what you can to get the word out there, especially in a time when the economy has truly affected everyone for the worst. Thank you!
I am a former employee of Cash 4 Gold. I did not know much about the company before being hired. On my first day of being hired, I was taught the "Cash 4 Gold Scam" from beginning to end.
1. The "refiner's pack" that is used for you to put your jewelry is "insured for UP TO 100 dollars, " according to how much they determine from a description from you, the worth of your items to be, NOT an actual fully researched appraisal.
2. We receive your "Refiner's Pack" within 3-4 days, BUT we are instructed to tell you that it takes "7-10 business days, for us to receive your pack, ALTHOUGH many times, your package has already arrived.
(All cash4gold customers who have called customer service to track a package can vouch for this)
3. Your jewelry gets appraised by hand, a magnifying glass, a plastic container, a small weight pad, and a bottle of ORANGISH fluid, which your items are then determined a value for. Not million dollar equipment or specially trained jewelry experts. The company was temporarily closed recently due to health and code violations. I have witness testers being transported to Medical Centers, due to the testing department environment. There is literally a cloud of smoke in the air from acid and other testing material. If you were thinking it was some state of the art testing facility, you thought WRONG.
4. Although the payment (check) for your item is dated within 24 hrs of testing your jewelry, we SOMETIMES DO NOT actually send out the check until up to 3-4 days later. (if you are a customer check the date the check was issued against the stamped date on the envelope.)
5. We do offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee or your jewelry returned, BUT THE CATCH IS, that the guarantee is to contact us within 10 DAYS from when your check is DATED. (This begins with the time it took for the accounts payables dept. to ISSUE the check and also including the TRANSIT TIME for you to receive your check in the mail. **** NOTATE THE COMMERCIALS THAT INSINUATE THAT YOU GET YOUR CASH IN 24 HRS.*** If you request (sign) for FAST CASH (direct deposit) you automatically WAIVE your rights to have your items returned, EVEN if you are not satisfied with amount of your deposit.
6. You generally receive your check around the "7th-10th" business day, AND majority of the time Customers are outraged when they lay eyes on the amount of their check. Some Customer's even receive a check for 0.01 cents.
7. There have been times when we have received your package and MISPLACED or LOST it at the facility. We CLAIM to not have received the items and even try to convince you that it was lost in the hands of USPS. At which point we begin an insurance claim process on your package. We ask you to send us an itemized list of the content of the package, trying to be as descriptive as you possible can (if you can remember everything in full detail) and a copy of your state issud ID. We then issue an INSURANCE CLAIM for UP TO 100 dollars. GOD FORBID your items are worth more then a 100 dollars. If you call customer service to check on the status of your shipment, and we actually have not received your package, we inform you of the insurance claim process. For those who know that their items are worth more than a hundred dollars, they become very upset and threaten to take action against the company, at that point we inform the customer that if they knew their items were worth more they should have added additional insurance at the Post Office. BUT unless you are paying to ship your items in a completely different package other then the refiner's kit, you are unable to add insurance to the package.
8. For those who do get in touch with us within the allotted time frame, we already know what you are calling about. Customers want their items returned, because there
check amount is so insultingly LOW. The first thing a Rep will
ask you is "HOW MUCH WERE YOU EXPECTING TO GET BACK?" This way we can know how much to "BONUS" you.
*Definition of a BONUS: We issue low checks just to have you call us back if you are smart enough to realize that you just got scammed. For the smart one's we are paid to offer u a bonus up to 3x the original amount of your check and you accept. For ex: Sally Smith receives a check for $27.86 for a Rolex watch(which we don’t issue value for), a class ring, a ring with diamond chips, a pair of earrings with emeralds, as well as a few sterling silver pieces, and maybe a few items that were really of no value. Now Sally Smith calls the cust srvc dept, where she speaks to a rep who seems so concerned and will see if she can do better with the amount by speaking to a "SUPERVISOR". We then place the caller on Mute, and speak to our neighbors or doodle on a sheet, or twiddle with our hair for about 45 seconds, while we are supposedly speaking to our supervisor about Ms. Smith's complaint. We then come back with an offer to "BUMP UP YOUR MELT DATE or any other lies the cust srvc reps can think of, and offer you a total amount of $53.20 which is a little under double the amount of your original check; in which case if you accept, the cust srvc rep makes a 15.00 bonus off of your transaction. If the customer service rep offers you under triple the amount of your orig check, he/she makes 10.oo in bonuses.
9. If you accept the offer, the deal is done, and you are told that the call is recorded (which most of the time, the record button does not work, or the box if full.)It’s just a way to make your feel binded by a verbal contract. IF you do not accept the deal, you have to return your check, and it takes sometimes up to a month to receive your items back after we receive the check.
10. If you only want the items that we do not find of any value back, you have to pay 10.00 shipping and handling fee to have your own items returned, which varies. Although it is listed under the terms and conditions, this charge varies from a 10.00-15.00 charge to NO charge, reason being, UNSURE.
Cash 4 Gold is definitely not a trustworthy or credible company to do business with. You are almost better off taking your items to a local pawn shop or shopping around for other companies. With the economy the way it is, Cash 4 Gold seems to be a way out of financial stress for some, but in actuality becomes a stress of its own. I would advise you to think twice before sending in valuables or items inherited and of sentimental value, its not worth it.
Posted 11 months agoReport - I sent in some things and my ring alone was worth about $700.00. I finally got my check. They sent me a check for $29.00. I'm sending the check back and wanting my things back. I learned alot from this. What a big rip-off they are.
